“The last two AutoSens Awards evenings have been great fun, but to see the delight on the faces of the winners had been a real motivation to augment and improve the event this year. We’ve reworked the categories to make them as relevant as possible and aligned with industry activities. And we’ve used new tools behind the scenes to help us better manage the high numbers of entries and the judging process. Innovation is as strong as ever in vehicle perception technologies, and we’re proud to provide a platform for industry peers to celebrate not just technical achievements, but the whole gamut of excellence that drives technology forwards.” comments Robert Stead, Managing Director of Sense Media, organisers of the AutoSens Awards.

He continues, “Last year, the event was attended by the President of SAE, among other prestigious guests, all of whom enjoyed an evening of fine food and wine, comedy, and the company of fellow engineers and academics who have made an impact at a global level in this diverse but focused industry sector. After a flood of high-quality entries, we are looking forward to our busiest and most fiercely-fought competition yet, welcoming many new faces as well as members of our regular AutoSens family.”

The finalist’s entries from each category will be studied by our world-class judging panel over the summer months, and the winners will be announced at The Atomium Brussels on the evening of 18 September 2019. There are a very limited number of tickets available for this intimate ceremony.

Notable figure heads on the judging panel include:

  • Mohannad Murad, Technical Specialist, General Motors
  • Divya Argarwal, Staff Software Engineer, NIO
  • Robin Jenkin, Principal Image Quality Engineer, NVIDIA

Alongside the Awards ceremony, the evening includes a full line-up of entertainment at the iconic Atomium venue in Brussels, a three-course dinner, comedy act, goody bags for the guests and drinks freely flowing as the industry’s most accomplished figures mix with the new entrants looking to make a splash by winning an AutoSens Award for the first time.
