"Being exposed to all the people who are very knowledgeable about the image processing, I mean it’s very focussed this year on image processing and also Lidar is a hot topic here, being exposed to these people and talking to see what sort of challenges they have and how we can support them with our tools and knowledge. Also to be able to get the new trends what’s coming in with new sensor technologies to be able to react." Alexander Aydt, Vector Informatik
"I like to meet people, I like to exchange our views, our aspirations and get the feedback from the customers and this is what is driving us forward into transforming our smart camera systems." Tarek Lule, STMicroelectronics
"Of course, the networking, the possibilities to meet various customers, various players in this market, AutoSens is a very interesting and important event for us. We’re exhibiting for the third time and we are again very pleased to be here at AutoWorld museum which is an amazing place for this kind of conference. The mix between conferences and live demos is a perfect mix because we can follow very interesting discussions and have face to face discussions with customers and with partners so it’s really a very good conference and show." Sylvie Gounet, STMicroelectronics
"Really great, much bigger and better than last year. We’ve had very good meetings with Tier 1s and Tier 2s and those are the companies we need to work with. It’s great, we’re local, so it’s very easy for us and the venue is great – fantastic." Eric Krzeslo, SoftKinetic
"This is my first time being here, this is our first time with a booth. It’s really interesting because of course we’re focussed on a material that’s in the radar sensor and it’s really interesting to see the whole eco system, you know there’s lidar, radar, camera sensors, and then how do those work together, and the ECUs that process all of that data. It seems like there’s still a lot of discussion about the future of autonomous driving, so it’s just very interesting to see the different aspects of it. Where it’s really interesting for us is we have a lot of materials for RADAR sensors and for 24 and 77 Ghz for ADAS but again what’s going to be needed for autonomous driving for L3 L 4 type cars, what type of material needs are our customers going to have?" Joey Kellner, Rogers Corporation
"AutoSens is a great place for us because we are seeing a number of engineers who are really interested in technology, very little marketing talk but a lot of talk about technologies and about how these can help in the future to build cars for ADAS and automated driving." Uwe Westmeyer, Renesas
"I have enjoyed it very much, it’s great to meet like-minded engineers. I’ve seen a lot of fantastic work here, I think it’s really impressive what people are doing in ADAS so it’s been a very nice and enjoyable experience." Soeren Molander, Panasonic Automotive
"The highlight is basically the technical expertise of the audience, the breadth of the audience, we can come here and meet with an array of customers and prospects and have meaningful conversations." Geoff Ballew, On Semiconductor
"It’s a good opportunity for us, as we were hoping to see camera manufacturers. The camera manufacturing is mainly by Tier 1 and Tier 2s, we’ve been promoting this technology for over 5 years so it’s a very good gathering, and of course we’ll be at the next AutoSens." Young-Jun Yoo, Nextchip
"It was fun, I found it really interesting the overall exhibition. I have to say that, as last year, many nice talks, interesting speeches and a lot of interesting news all around here. I’m really happy to be here for a second time. First of all, Melexis is a Belgian company, we have to be here - it’s very important to show that even in the whole of Europe there are company who can provide technology and solutions and here we can get in touch with people working on similar solutions or in OEM and Tiers 1 and 2 who are looking for solutions from us and we can get early feedback from them. This is something that usually you don’t get in daily business discussions because when you focus on business, you are talking about what I need today. We are interested to know what is going to happen in 2022 or 2025 because we have to get ready by then. We’re meeting a lot of engineers and technologists here as well, that’s where we can leverage what we can offer to the industry. This is a good place to be, surrounded by enough people focussed on certain technologies which is really very very important." Gualtiero Bagnuoli, Melexis
"It’s our pleasure to be here, it’s great to have a chance to represent our company and to introduce our product, it’s a great venue, a great atmosphere and everything is on a very high level. It’s my first time to AutoSens, and I find it very interesting, fascinating, a lot of good products, a lot of great people. One of the major goals we had coming here, attending this conference as a Tier 1, was looking forward to meeting OEMs and it’s very important to be aware of OEMs demands to give us direction for research. We’ve met several OEMs, but we’re also open to all sorts of cooperation, not necessarily OEM, there’s a lot of great companies here and maybe here if we see something interesting we might be interested in cooperation." Dmitry Khvan, LG Electronics
"This is our third AutoSens for us, so we’ve been there last year and in Detroit this year. This is a very focussed conference here. People visiting AutoSens are looking for sensor solution, so we are in the best place to meet those guys to network. We’ve even connected with software people, with sensor people. It’s not a big event, but it’s perfect for us because we have the right contact at the right place." Stephane Cordova, Kalray
"Really good so far, it’s very particular to automotive sensing, it’s exactly what we do, so it’s a really good event. Fantastic venue, one of the best venues I’ve ever been in for an event. It’s been really good, we’ve got a lot of good leads. The companies we’re looking for are really are the systems makers and integrators, so the Tier 1s, because we’re making components and the key technology then we’re not working directly with the car makers a lot of the time, we talk to them, but it’s difficult to work directly. And a lot of those guys are here today those Tier 1s and systems makers." Jack Bennett, Hamamatsu
"It’s very good, very exciting, a lot of interesting technologies, a lot of things being developed for the industry of autonomous driving and ADAS systems, quite interesting for us. We have a lot of common customers already, what we do here is learn a lot how technology works, how can we help the other companies build solutions and to store their data securely." Stefan Radtke, Dell EMC
"It’s a very good opportunity, I was also here last year and it is a good opportunity to meet very interesting people from the industry, decision makers, stakeholders. Understand better the trends, how the industry is moving and where. We’d confirm it’s an interesting opportunity to follow up with some of them, to connect with the new people and show our products, the products that we are making with our technology and naturally start some engagement with some of them very soon." Luca Verre, Chronocam
"The show is great, I’ve learned a lot of new stuff, there was a lot of good speakers here and a lot of interesting companies, so I really enjoyed the show." Gregor Novak, Bluetechnix
"It’s a great event, lots of opportunities for networking with some of the top brains in the industry and very interesting talks so far. I’ve been to all of the AutoSens events so far – I think you’re doing a great job, I think the venue is spectacular for anyone who is interested in cars this is a fantastic venue and you have a fantastic audience here with some of the best folks from Tier 1s and OEMs and components suppliers, everyone is here." Peter Labaziewicz, Texas Instruments
It’s been pretty good, we’ve had good sessions and good interactions with customers and potential customers so yeah, it’s been a very successful day. A lot of good companies showing products here, so been a productive day. We potentially look for customers for us which would be Tier 1s who would be interested in taking the IT solution, as you know we have very good solutions for the ADAS space including TDS razor processes so that’s what we’re looking for. It’s been a good show, we’ve have a very strong presence with different levels of partners including everybody from Tier 1s all the way to Tier 2s and component suppliers so that’s a big highlight that there’s been a lot of presence tonight. Thank you AutoSens for a great conference and great show. Shashank Dabral, Texas Instruments
"It’s a great event, it’s the second year I’m here with a company I’m representing, but also watching the sessions, especially the sessions on the venture capitalist this morning was interesting to see where the industry is going. To see where these companies, the VCs, and the industry investors have and what the outlook from a VC perspective was very enlightening. It’s great, this year there are a lot of OEMs, I’ve seen a lot of people from the new mobility-as a-platform companies, it’s interesting and it’s great to see that those guys are also thinking about sensing and about how to build experience of the future. I think there’s still a lot of technology that needs to be developed before we reach Level 5 autonomous driving and the only way to do it is to everybody is connecting and talking and putting their mindset in the same direction and events like AutoSens are making it happen." Johannes Peters, SoftKinetic
"I’m having a great time, met a lot of relevant people from industry. Automotive is quite new for me so it’s a really good place to start. We’re here to meet semiconductor and processor manufactures and the major automotive companies as well. We really want to meet the companies who are interested in the products we’re bringing to market. We recently implemented OpenCL for Renesas R-car hardware and we’re looking to collaborate with developers to bring their applications to the Renesas H3 hardware. I’ve met quite a few companies who are writing interesting software for inside automotive and I’m hoping to meet more tomorrow." Rod Burns, Codeplay Software
“I was really impressed with the variety of the topics that have been presented today, much more than I expected. There’s still a lack of good sensors, still a lot of momentum in computing data, deep learning, sensor fusion these kinds of things, a lot of initiatives there, but on the sensor side very limited. In the sensors, it’s not just the imager, but also the lens, the illumination, how it is managed, and also understanding what is needed to build a good sensor which is then capable of doing the job for good ADAS. The variety of topics at AutoSens is really great, so it’s not just imaging or data processing, it’s also about market review but not to forget networking. Very interesting people can be met here and we have already expanded our own network. The networking is fantastic, very interesting, we’ve had contact with people in certain areas of the industry and somebody else stopped by and didn’t know we’re already working on a problem they had. That creates a lot of support for them and us, so definitely worth going to AutoSens.” Beat de Coi, Espros Photonics
"The show has been fantastic: The level of presentation, the quality of all the attendees, the conversations we’re having, it’s been a fantastic experience for us. You know you have the who’s who of the tier 1s and tier 2s and OEMs here. From an Algolux perspective we are engaging on all three levels so it’s a perfect spot for us to talk all three of those constituencies." Dave Tokic, Algolux
