This presentation aims to describe the new regulations related to driver safety implemented in the EU, and the work that is ongoing in the technical field to ensure requirement fulfillment. DMS is part of the solution and by monitoring the driver’s behavior, understanding and predicting what is about to happen and warning the driver if a dangerous situation is about to occur, accidents will be avoided.
The regulation requirements can be hard to understand, and Smart Eye has put a lot of time and effort into bridging the gap between regulation requirements and implementation and usage of DMS. The process of navigating through the requirements and the challenges and adaptations required will be discussed during this presentation.
