Autonomous parking applications, such as Home-zone Parking Pilot, Autonomous Valet Parking, are the first commercially available L3/L4 applications in consumer vehicles prior to the high speed and urban L3/L4 autonomous driving applications. Autonomous parking greatly enhances driver experiences with more comfortable, more convenient and safer driving in the last stretch of people’s daily driving. By developing the cost competitive computing platforms, sensors (camera, Radar, and ultrasonic), high-definition map, and advanced software, Zongmu Technology has launched autonomous parking systems in mass-production consumer vehicles. We will be presenting our product architectures, application use-cases, real world challenges and solutions. The requirements for the next generation sensors that enable the next level of autonomous parking will be presented.
