Software-defined vehicles are a buzz in the automotive industry. But what are they exactly, and how can we attain them? In this presentation, I will attempt to define the software-defined vehicle, and I will outline what I feel is the most efficient way to reach that goal. Most importantly, I will discuss the future-proof hardware foundation that will enable software-defined vehicles, including sensors, processors, and the connectivity solution in between.
