This presentation describes traditional automotive measurement and calibration, illustrates current measurement and calibration in vehicle systems used in the calibration / validation of level 1-2+ autonomous vehicle functionality, explains the substantial challenges associated with measurement and calibration needs for validation of Level 3-5 autonomous vehicle functionality, and discusses some possible solutions in development for future measurement and calibration systems to be used in validation of Level 3-5 autonomous vehicles.
