In this presentation, the current landscape of lidar is described and how the natural progression is the FMCW approach, which has many more benefits. It will explore why current and traditional pulsed LiDAR technology is insufficient in addressing the issues currently plaguing AVs. It will also detail how integrated photonics will enable affordable FMCW lidar.
