Nowadays we are facing challenges related to autonomous driving. Not missing info from the surrounding of the car is one of the most important. In terms of cameras the lenses act as the “vehicle’s eyes” to gather data about the outside world.

At FICOSA we are very aware of this necessity and we have initiated various research activities to address and bridge the gaps in our current technologies adding relevant features in the lens. From our perspective, the main challenges include avoiding noise in the image, reduce water droplets, detecting and removing soil and eliminating ice from lens.

We have several ongoing projects to tackle these challenges.
