The Brussels edition’s closing plenary session will be a joint interview on the topic of ‘The Automotive Pivot to Software-Driven Design and Manufacturing’ conducted by Junko Yoshida, Editor-in-Chief of EE Times. This topic is important not only at the strategic level for OEM and Tier 1 companies, but the impacts filter down to the many thousands of engineers working on hardware and software solutions for today’s vehicles as well as longer term products. It has long been a core topic at AutoSens’and there’s excitement among the ‘community to see strong movements in this direction, but with many details of system architecture still up for debate, we are looking forward to hosting an engaging discussion. The participants include technical experts from two of the major players in the future of ADAS and AV development – Veoneer, a leading Tier 1 working with many major OEMs, and whose recently announced partnership with Qualcomm could well be a game-changer for this sector. And Intel/Mobileye, by far the most prolific automotive camera system developer, making ever more significant strides towards high level camera-enabled autonomy as illustrated by recent announcements with Chinese OEM Geely. Don’t miss this high profile interview session, which will be a suitable climax to our 4-week Brussels edition agenda.
