Predicting intoxication of a subject by studying the movement and behavior of the eyes, is scientifically proven. This method highlights the fact that drugs and alcohol impact the cognitive ability in a subject which can be traced in the eyes.
There are some similarities between this research and Sightic’s solution. The system analyzes not only various features from the face, head, and the eyes (e.g. pupillary light response, eye blink, eye closure) similar to existing DMS solutions, but also various data sources from the vehicle, e.g. steering wheel, throttle and brake, and the correlation/cooperation between various features, lag, reaction times etc., in order to create a more stable prediction model due to the natural variation in subjects.
