Existing sensor fusion solutions are unable to detect and recognize potential hazards under common low-visibility conditions: night-time, fog, haze, etc. This is a huge issue because most severe road accidents happen in these conditions. InGaAs-based SWIR is already solving this challenge for the defense and aerospace industries but was just too expensive for mass-market applications.
