In this talk, we look at the biggest challenges the AV supply chain- from OEMs to semiconductor players- is facing in achieving the desired safe autonomous driving level, and how a virtual V&V framework can alleviate many of these challenges. We offer Siemens’ perspective on research needs for the next 5 years, the need for multifaceted collaboration and showcase our ongoing efforts in virtual V&V from pre-silicon software development for AI chips to sensors and vehicles development and city deployment in any traffic and weather condition.
