This presentation introduces a practical, simulation-based workflow for digitally validating automotive front cameras. By integrating detailed optical and sensor-level modeling, we can predict real-world camera performance before physical prototypes exist, significantly cutting down development time and cost. You’ll see the full simulation workflow, from setting up models to interpreting results. Additionally, we’ll show a comparison of simulated versus real-world data to validate our approach. This workflow uniquely combines optics, sensor physics, and virtual scene rendering at a level rarely seen in production. It directly tackles the challenge of aligning performance expectations between OEMs, Tier 1s, and component suppliers before costly physical validation.
