How do you know your lidar reflectance reference target is valid? Can your lidar detect that road obstacle?; A Virtual Tech Demo

Event: AutoSens Online
, 2020

Diffuse reflectance targets are the most common references for lidar sensor range testing. These targets are often left in warehouses and outdoor environments subjecting them to surface contamination. As a reference and critical part of the sensitivity equation, reliance on target performance is important to everyone in the value chain from researchers and Tier1 suppliers to OEMs. There are many variables in measuring and comparing sensor range, the reference targets shouldn’t be one of them. Join us as we present how lidar targets are used and a demonstration of a new portable reflectometer for field testing targets and other materials.
