The automotive industry is rapidly changing. Autonomy requires new sensors, AI and complex software stacks. Cars are becoming data centers on wheels. At the same time, design cycles are shrinking and the pressure to provide more functionality at lower cost is ever increasing. As a result, many ADAS and AD companies are not able to deliver on time, at cost and on spec, and the OEMs are not solely relying on their suppliers anymore but have started to develop software, semiconductors and systems themselves, and are forming strategic alliances. How will the automotive industry change and need to adapt as a result? Who will be the new players, winner and losers and what will the impact on the supply chain be?
