Despite great advancements in sensor technology, different sensor types have their own strengths and weaknesses. Sensor fusion creates a synergetic environment where the strengths of one sensor compensate for the weaknesses of the others.

As the automotive industry moves towards increasing levels of ADAS and eventually full autonomy, sensor fusion will play an essential role. We will be discussing the limitations with current sensor technologies and vehicle architectures before exploring the way to turn sensor fusion into a reality.
