Autonomous vehicle sensors should remain functional in all weather conditions to ensure an accurate spatial awareness. Quantifying a sensors limit is a key requirement for vehicle assurance and confident operation. To address the metrology of sensor assurance we partnered with the UK Met Office to create a 250 m outdoor testbed deriving quantitative information on lidar, radar and camera system performance during rain, fog and bright sunlight conditions. The testbed has been collecting data continuously during 2022/3 and we will present our data on lidar and radar operation in adverse and ideal scenarios including details of our next measurement campaign.
