Autonomy customers are defining various use cases. Software defined radar sensors can adapt to work in many applications, changing measurement and signal processing performance according to the use case
Radar sensors are the “last sensors standing” under adverse weather conditions and as such are a must for any L2+ and higher system.
When data fusion of multiple radar sensors is applied, the radar sensors must have certain features for achieving the best fusion performance, and furthermore, when the radar data is best combined with that from other sensors (i.e. camera, ultrasonic etc.). For an optimum sensor fusion, the radar system must bring specific features and interfaces.

This session will look at features for multi-radar sensor fusion vs multi sensor data fusion, and software-defined operational and application-specific operational modes for parking, low-speed maneuvers, and high-speed driving.
