LiDAR Sensor as a complementary redundancy is the key to ensuring safety for ADAS and Autonomous Vehicles. As smart LiDAR sensor, we use deep learning to semantically segment and detect the obstacles from the 3D LiDAR point clouds, then further to recognize the type of obstacles. With the AI perception algorithm embedded inside, the smart LiDAR innovatively transforms conventional LiDAR systems as information collectors to a full data analysis comprehension system. By the comparison of radar and camera, Dr. leilei will explain why LiDAR is the most reliable perception sensor for autonomous driving and then introduce the latest and advanced smart evolution for LiDAR integrating AI perception algorithm. Dr. Leilei will explain analyze the function of the embedded algorithm and the benefits to OEM customers, further explain the core technology for smart LiDAR to embedded AI Algorithm and the technical problems to be overcome in the future.
