Presentation
The RADAR-based sensor has several key advantages over LiDAR and optical systems – all-weather operation and reliable detection of small and rounded obstacles, such as fence posts. However, its use is limited due to relatively low spatial resolution and high interference noise. The presentation is devoted to a new method for increasing the spatial resolution of a radar sensor installed on a mobile platform and promising products based on it. Software based on the proposed method can be used in sensor arrays to solve the SLAM problem as well as in standalone radars to improve their performance. Also our presentation includes the results of testing a system based on the new technology and its comparison with existing MIMO-based devices.
