Automotive OEM and Transportation Agency Partnerships: The New Frontier in Road Safety and Mobility

USA

Tutorial

Approximately $250 billion is spent across state and local agencies to build, operate and maintain the nation’s roads and bridges, with approximately ¼ of that funded through the United States Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration.

This talk will discuss how consented and anonymized connected vehicle data can be used to the mutual benefit of automotive OEMs, agencies, and most importantly, the motoring public to improve the safety and mobility of our nation’s highways. Uses cases from across the country will be incorporated into the presentation. Specific use cases will demonstrate a variety of safety and mobility performance measures that agencies use to manage both daily operations, as well as informing long term capital investment programs.
