John is an electrical engineer with expertise in optics, semiconductors, microwave to terahertz systems and systems engineering and has held leadership posts at Qualcomm, Jet Propulsion Labs (NASA) and Rockwell. John also served as adjunct professor at Caltech and UCSD. John graduated from MIT with a BS and Caltech with a PhD, both in electrical engineering.
