Principal Engineer in Safety Case Development
Krzysztof Pennar is a Principal Engineer in Safety Case Development at Torc Robotics, where he leads safety assessments and risk evaluations for autonomous vehicle systems. With extensive experience in functional safety and safety of the intended functionality (SOTIF), Pennar has contributed significantly to advancing safety protocols in both Level 2 and Level 4 autonomous systems.
Before joining Torc Robotics, Pennar held key roles at General Motors, where he spent over seven years leading safety efforts in autonomous vehicle technologies. He also has a strong background in propulsion systems engineering from his 10 years at Northrup Grumman, where he was involved in the design and launch of propulsion subsystems for space vehicles. Pennar holds Masters and Bachelors degrees in Aerospace Engineering from Arizona State University where he was a NASA Graduate Research Fellow affiliated with NASA JPL.
