Byron Stanley

Byron is the leading expert and primary inventor of Ground Positioning Radar. He is a cofounder and CTO of GPR where he leads technical development internally and with the company’s industry partners. He has been building robots, developing sensors, and automating vehicles for over 25 years, including automating several military vehicles that were deployed in Afghanistan. As lead of the MIT Lincoln Laboratory program that invented the GPR technology, he captained the development and testing of this novel safety system. He holds a range of technology patents and has won an R&D 100 award as one of the top inventors worldwide. Byron has engineering SM and SB degrees from MIT.
