Abdullah Zaidi

At Rivian, Abdullah leads development of cutting-edge sensors for ADAS and Autonomy applications. His team is responsible for the design, signal processing, vehicle packaging, and compute/network architecture for both exterior and in-cabin sensors. This work ensures that Rivian’s vehicles are equipped with the most advanced technology, enhancing safety and the overall driving experience.
Before joining Rivian, Abdullah made significant contributions to the field of autonomous vehicles by leading the development of multiple sensor technologies at Lyft’s self-driving division. Additionally, he led engineering for long-range imaging radars at Metawave a technology that enables perception for L4 robotaxis and Autonomous trucks. Previously, he worked on wireless technologies at Qualcomm and was part of the team that enabled the first 5G deployment.
