Project Officer
Davide Maggi is a Project Officer at the European Commission Joint Research Centre. He is a Human Factors specialist with a background in automation and control engineering, focused on understanding human-vehicle interactions, on-road behaviour and drivers’ state monitoring systems. Since completing his PhD with the Institute for Transport Studies at the University of Leeds in 2021, he covered the position of Human Factor Specialist within the Human Behaviour and Usability team in Volvo GTT and has been involved in the Hi-Drive project. In 2024, he joined the Joint Research Centre and carried out research aimed at better integrating human factor aspects within regulatory text. His research aims to further our understanding of human behaviour on-road exploiting several different methodologies including systems analyses, experimental studies, questionnaire data, and video analysis techniques.
