Dr. Gunnar Juergens serves as the Senior Vice President of Product at TeraDAR, where
he leads the development and commercialization of advanced sensing solutions for the
automotive industry. With a distinguished career spanning automotive sensor
innovation, Dr. Juergens is recognized for his expertise in leveraging cutting-edge
microchip architectures to enable high-resolution, long-range imaging for
next-generation vehicles.
Prior to joining TeraDAR, Dr. Juergens held key leadership roles in the automotive
sector, including serving as Vice President of Advanced Lidar Solutions at Continental,
where he was instrumental in bringing lidar technology into the automotive mainstream
and advancing sensor fusion strategies for autonomous driving. He is known for his
pivotal contributions to the integration of radar, lidar, and camera systems, and for
championing the adoption of robust, cost-effective sensor technologies that enhance
vehicle safety and perception in all weather conditions.
Dr. Juergens holds a doctorate in engineering and has authored numerous technical
publications and presentations on vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication, sensor
system architectures, and automotive safety. His work continues to shape the future of
mobility by enabling vehicles to achieve superior environmental awareness at scale.
