Nithya Somanath is a Senior Researcher at the Electrical and Software Architecture Research Group in General Motors’ Connected Experience and Agentic Systems Research Lab in Warren, Michigan. Nithya earned a master’s degree in computer applications from Indraprastha University, India. With 15+ years in automotive and embedded systems, Nithya has proven experience delivering PoCs across infotainment, system architecture, software optimization, control systems, and customer-facing features. At General Motors, her work focuses on software and system architecture, including optimization, protocol development, and evaluation of next-generation automotive Ethernet technologies.
