Ramachandra Vannala is a Senior Staff Functional Safety Engineer in the
Vehicle System Energy Control Safety Domain, currently working with Rivian
and Volkswagen Group Technologies. His expertise focuses on system-level
functional safety for energy and power systems, including high-voltage (HV)
and low-voltage (LV) integration, zonal architectures, charging systems, and
power system architectures for automated and software-defined vehicles.
He brings broad cross-industry experience across automotive and aerospace,
having previously worked on safety-critical electrical and energy systems at
Lucid Motors, A123 Systems, and Mercedes-Benz. Earlier in his career, he
contributed to system safety engineering at UTC Aerospace Systems,
working in collaboration with HCL Technologies on electrical power
distribution, electrical generation control systems, and air management
systems.
Ramachandra holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Control Systems from
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur, India
