Welcome to the quarter of Cameras for ADAS with AutoSens! From January to March 2025, we’re focusing on the critical topic of Precision in Perception: Cameras for ADAS. Join us on a journey through this pivotal subject and discover why it’s at the forefront of our focus.
Why Precision Perception Matter:
Welcome to the quarter of Perception Precision with AutoSens! From January to March 2025 we are focusing on the critical role of cameras in ADAS, and how to ensure the best performance of these vital sensors. Join us to discover what aspects of this topic we will explore and why it is the forefront of our focus.Â
Cameras are perhaps the most cost-effective and versatile sensors in the ADAS ecosystem, providing high-resolution visual data crucial for functions like object detection, lane keeping, traffic sign recognition, and driver monitoring. Their ubiquity in modern vehicles stems from their ability to mimic human vision, making them indispensable for enabling semi-autonomous and fully autonomous driving features. However, achieving precision in camera performance requires overcoming challenges like environmental variability, calibration, and integration with other sensor modalities.Â
This quarter we’ll explore the ways in which advancements in camera technology can address these challenges, ensuring reliability, safety, and scalability in ADAS applications, as well as hearing from experts on issues such as placement & calibration.Â
Want to learn more? Discover the secrets behind computer vision with insights from four exclusive AutoSens Academy modules:
This module will cover the optical scientific principles for all sensor modalities, covering theory and practice, including manufacturing considerations.
Exploring the foundational concepts in deep learning, challenges, applications, and the role that it is playing in the rapid advancement of the field.Â
This module will provide a detailed understanding of the key image quality factors for automotive imaging systems.
Building on the cameras module, this module will explore practical applications of cameras in real-world scenarios.
During our quarter of focus on AI, we’ll be hosting a FREE Ask the Experts session giving you the opportunity to engage with our experts, participate in an exclusive roundtable and connect with others in the industry facing similar challenges.Â
We’ll be joined by expert instructor Prof. Dr. Abhinav Valada, Chair of Autonomous Intelligent Systems & Director of Robot Learning Lab at the University of Freiburg.
