Announcing AutoSens China: Expanding our Engineering Community

AutoSens is launching in Hefei, China, 19-21st November 2024! Hear more from our Founder Rob Stead on what you can expect from our first AutoSens China

2024 is a year of firsts for Sense Media. Our first co-locate took place in Detroit this May, and represented a new era for our AutoSens and InCabin conferences, both events taking place side by side is the new status quo, and it couldn’t have gone better.

I firmly believe I’ll be saying the same thing about AutoSens China by the time we wrap the show at the end of November this year. We are certainly off to a flier!

Plans to extend the AutoSens event portfolio to Asia date back to 2018. We launched the original AutoSens China event that year, and immediately had a strong suite of sponsors and exhibitors on board, even with the long lead time planned, the event due to take place in Hong Kong in November 2020.

We all know what happened in 2020, and travel in China was slower to open back up following the pandemic, so revisiting this project had been a slow and careful consideration. However, by this time last year we were seriously investigating the details for what will become AutoSens China 2.0.

This time, with 4 more years’ experience under our belts, and broader connections, mainland China is the destination, staying close to the Chinese automotive heartland of Shanghai, we will host the event in Hefei, in Anhui province, a vibrant and rapidly growing city of 7m with strong investment and focus on automotive technology.

With an expected 400 attendees, 30 exhibitors, and two-track conference agenda, this will be a bigger launch event than the first Brussels event back in 2016. We already have Keynotes confirmed from Volkswagen Group (China) Technology Company’s head of ADAS, Torsten Wendler, and BMW’s Marc Zellerhoff. as well as experts from Deloitte, Kontrol, and Sinpro. Many more speakers will be announced soon, with the majority China-based to give a real local feel to the event.

The agenda will cover all the usual AutoSens topics, with a specific focus on radar sensing, test and validation compliance, ADAS ECU innovations, and featuring many companies who have not previously presented at AutoSens. The agenda will be translated simultaneously between English and Chinese.
