With International Women’s Day on 8th March, we wanted to take some time to celebrate and introduce you all, not only to the newest member of our team, Sara Sargent, but to all of the great women that work to deliver you value as a member of our Community.
It is unique to see such a female dominated company in Autotech and these are the women who have brought you AutoSens and InCabin.
Sara Sargent, Business Development Executive
Sara joined Sense Media in January and has been familiar with AutoSens for much longer. Sara is keenly awaiting her five-time attendee AutoSens pin-badge, since she has been a member of the AutoSens Community since 2018, having attended and spoken at AutoSens when she was at VSI Labs. Sara has been an active member of P2020 and is very keen to support Women in Engineering and diversity projects in transport and automotive. We are very pleased to have her as part of the Sense Media team and are already benefiting from her industry insights in shaping the AutoSens Academy and our InCabin event. We knew that Sara would fit in well, not just due to her experience but also because she was an enthusiast participant and cyclist on our Belgian beer bike tour in 2019!
Sophie Disley, Co-Founder & Marketing Director
As co-founder, Sophie helped Rob launch the business in 2015 and since then has led our expanding marketing team. She has contributed to the growth and success of AutoSens from a small conference into the thriving community of engineers that it is today. She has a passion for brand development and positioning ourselves as more than just events company, and is super excited about our new InCabin brand. Sophie also represents HR within the business due to her enthusiasm for an employee-centric ethos, ensuring everyone in the team has a great work/life balance with complete flexibility and trust.
Lydia Sheldon, Senior MarketingExecutive
When Lydia joined us she was thrust into the world of home-working whilst getting to grips with the industry dynamics. We were thrilled that wait to attend an AutoSens event in-person came to an end when she joined us in Brussels to experience AutoSens at its best. Lydia thrived with taking the lead in interviewing our partners and supporting Anne-Francoise of EE Times with further one-to-one interviews, which enabled her to learn more about the key players in our Community.
Deborah Felicio, IT and Systems Manager
Deb is another long-standing member of the Team, with a background in web development and a technical mindset. Deb describes herself, on her LinkedIn profile, as “IT lady, systems manager, customer focused, sales enthusiast and wife”, which does not account for her tireless work that has brought you the AutoSens website that you see today. We have received many positive comments about the functionality of our website, which has been in development for the past 12 months and Deb has been working determinedly behind the scenes to bring this to fruition. Supported by Lydia to achieve the slick look and feel, we are very proud of the website that you now see, and we would encourage you to explore more of the features available to you with an account.
Rachel is our finance wiz, keeping everything ticking over in the background and we couldn’t be without her attention to detail and approachable manner and support, enabling us to focus on delivering more value to the Community.
Celine Finch, Operations Manager
Celine joins us to support our return to an in-person event in Detroit. Celine was the Tour Manager on the nationwide Shell Rotella roadshow, activating weekly at industry events and customer sites and fondly remembers being involved with the Shell Eco-marathon in Detroit, which was “pretty cool”, and is looking forward to her return to the Motor City.
Hayley Sarson, Operations Director
Finally, many of you will know me, since I lead the development of all our AutoSens and InCabin events and training courses and work closely with our industry advisory boards to deliver the best technical events possible. I am looking forward to having more women on both of our InCabin and AutoSens advisory boards, to better reflect the roles that women are playing in the industry and would encourage those reading this to get in touch if such a role would be of interest.
This also extends to representation on our technical agendas and if you would like to join a panel, or Chair a session this year, please also do not hesitate to get in touch.
You can connect with any of us on LinkedIn, and of course Rob (Managing Director) and Richard (Commercial Director) too, who are also very keen to support and encourage diversity in our Community.
