Christophe Lavergne
Image sensor and processing
About Christophe Lavergne
Christophe Lavergne received his engineering degree in image and signal processing from the University of Technology at Compiègne (1986) and his PhD for imaging research from the French University of Paris-Saclay (1991).
He joined RENAULT in 1991, where he worked on driver’ drowsiness detection through the development of images algorithms to analyze drivers’ face movements and eyelid blinks.
In 1999, he joined upstream ADAS department of RENAULT to develop a laboratory of “image sensor and processing” dedicated to the specification, the characterization and the validation of the “Environment Perception Function” of camera sensor and camera system for machine vision application.
Since 2019, he has also been participating in the P2020 Standard Committee, where he is focusing on the use of an “extended” iSNR (Incremental Signal to Noise Ratio: ISO 15739) as a metric for the SOTIF of in vehicle HDR camera sensor for machine vision application
