Eiichi Funatsu

Dr. Eiichi Funatsu has been in the image sensor field for 30 years and has a wide range of experience from
image sensor design, wafer process, algorithm to camera systems. He received Ph.D degree in electrical and
electronical engineering from Tokyo University, Japan, in 2005. He joined OMNIVISION Technologies Inc. in 2012.

He is currently VP of Technology in the CTO Office. His team is responsible for defining the image sensor
technology roadmap, studying imaging systems for direction setting, introducing new technologies to the
company and making product concepts with them.
