Tianbo Sun

Tianbo Sun is a co-founder of LightIC Technologies, where he currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer.

He earned his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Peking University in 2010 and his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, also in Electrical Engineering, in 2015.

Tianbo has worked on a diverse range of optical sensors, spanning applications from medical devices to consumer products and automotive LiDARs. Presently, he leads LightIC’s engineering team dedicated to developing chip-scale 4D FMCW LiDAR for automotive and industrial applications, positioning LightIC at the forefront of innovation in the industry.
