Matthias has more than 20 years of experience as a Project Manager, Team Manager, and Executive in the field of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Telematics for both passenger cars and commercial vehicles. He is well-versed in all related technologies, including vehicle control, environment perception, digital maps, positioning, and vehicular communication technology. In addition, Matthias has extensive expertise in strategy development and is highly connected within the global ADAS and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) community. Over the years, he has built long-standing relationships with the R&D departments of leading European and Japanese OEMs, suppliers, electronics companies, as well as research institutes and universities.

Matthias has a strong track record of collaboration with key governmental and international bodies, including the European Commission, the German Federal Ministries of Economics and Technology and of Education and Research, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in Japan, and the U.S. Department of Transportation. He is also well experienced in representing his company or the interests of consortia in major industry associations such as ACEA (European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association), EUCAR (European Council for Automotive R&D), and VDA (Verband der Automobilindustrie).
